In the heart of Tijuana Mexico sits one of the finest mexican restaurants to date, its called Mariachis. From the second you walk in the atmoshphere is inviting. With high ceilings and a very cute host you almost can’t wait to see what happens next. Well the the first thing that gets your attention is the roasted salsa that comes with perfectly fried homemade tortilla chips, what a treat. The salsa is the best I have tried yet, not the most spicy but best tasting. This time around I had the beef or steak. It was perfectly charred. I could not stop cutting and eating until it was completely finished.
On the side it comes with potatoes mashed and formed into a perfect swirl with fresh steamed vegetable topped with a cream sauce. The plate was finished in minutes. Of course while you are eating the sounds of the Mariachi band is playing throughout the restraunt. A true mexican experience.
This particular night was a little party in the back room featuring a local salsa dance school absolutely tearing up the dance floor. Let’s just say I did not even attempt to go on the dance floor and I am a good salsa dancer.

Mariachis is a must if you ever venture to Tijuana for dinner. I am looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu, so look forward to reading more about this place. Well, walk on the wild side, get out of your ordinary routine and give Tijuana a chance, you won’t be dissapointed.
